PORT OF ÇANAKKALE

Commissioned in 2005 on the Build-Operate-Transfer model, Port of Çanakkale (Kepez) offers cargo handling and terminal services to general cargo, bulk cargo, container, ro-ro ships, and cruises as well as ferries, oil tankers, and chemical tankers within the scope of international trade. As the maritime border crossing of Çanakkale, the port not only offers services for export and import cargoes but also welcomes cruises, and contributes highly to our sea tourism.

Çanakkale Port Authority has an outdoor cargo storage yard of 2.688 m² and an indoor 28.745 m². Also embodying the ‘Türkiye’s Largest’ waste receiving facility with a tank capacity of 13.528 m³, Çanakkale Port Authority receives, processes, and recycles oil and fuel-based wastes of ships sailing through the Dardanelles (Çanakkale) Strait while contributing substantially to the general principles of sustainability of Türkiye.

 

With a fuel warehouse of 13.622 m³ available at the port, Çanakkale Port Authority is also capable of selling marine fuels to ships that sail through the Dardanelles Strait and enjoys a merchant navy of 5 waste collection ships, 3 fuel tankers, 1 agent boat, and 1 berth boat.
